Our Men's Church Ministry Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 09:00 A.M. Brother Mark Teague is asking all the men of our church who want to be in "The Men's Ministry" will be having their first meeting on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 09:00 A.M. Brother Mark has picked an awesome place to hold our first men's meeting. We will be meeting at the "Y" Restaurant located South of Hillsboro, Ohio on State Route #62. Now, if you don't know where that is?.... from the church go South on #62 for about 8 miles, go through New Market, Ohio, ..... it is on your left hand side of the road.... it is very easy to find too! Come excited to see what God has in store for us as a new men's ministry and don't forget to bring your appetite too! |

A Special Thank You! The Cornerstone's Harvest Party was a huge success! The church would like to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU!" to Jack and Jenny Miller for opening up their home and hosting this years event! Thanks also to everyone's efforts in providing this years food, drinks and helping to clean up afterwards makes us all in anticipation of next years Harvest Party! Upcoming Church Events For 2008
Support our Youth Paint Drives USED PAINT DRIVE : Our Youth is asking each and everyone of us to participate in a blessing! The Youth are actively involved in a special project and they need our help! They are requesting donated spray cans of paint or any other types of paint lying around your home not being used. This is a great way to recycle, clean out your basement or garage and being a good steward of God's property all at the same time! Please bring all unused paints to a box located in the church foyer! Thanks in advance for supporting our Youth! 50 Cent A Week Pledge Drive : This Sunday morning, our Youth will be asking for each of us to participate in an effort to help them save up monies toward future "Youth Oriented Events" in the upcoming year. They are having a 50 cent pledge each week drive for a year! If you drink coffee, that would be like you giving up one cup each week. If you drink pop, well...you can't even buy a pop for 50 cents any more, the point is can you give up something that you may buy or use each day to help support our Youth? This is a very small sacrifice for each of us to bless others! Could you spare 50 cents each Sunday or you could you give a one time donation of $24.00 (equivalent to 50 cents times 52 weeks)? This will help our Youth to establish a monetary base from where they can function as a group within our church! Thanks for your continued support! God Bless!
Herb's Bachelor Party! November 21, 2008 Brother Mark Teague will be hosting this "The Herb Lenzer Bowling Event". The men of our church will be celebrating the last night of Herb's bachelor status. Come and have some good fun and fellowship as we wish Herb "Best Wishes" for his upcoming wedding to "Patty" on this Saturday! The cost men will be ....$10.00 per person for every group of 4 men with unlimited number of games during a two hour period of bowling. Brother Mark Teague has a sign up sheet in the foyer..... he must know A.S.A.P. who is going as to reserve the appropriate number of lanes!
The Lenzer Wedding November 22, 2008 Herb Lenzer and Patty Moon will be married this Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 5:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Hillsboro, Ohio. Pastor Skip will preside over this event and the reception will be held immediately after the ceremony at Cornerstone. It will be a carry in dinner and the couple will be providing fried chicken..... (Pastor Skip loves "Fried Chicken" too!).
Each Sunday Evening, Until November 23, 2008 During our evening "Praise" service at 6:30 P.M. Pastor Skip will be continue in his series of "Relationships" and how to make your marriage better! Everyone is invited! So, if you know someone who could benefit from this series in a struggling relationship, marriage or you personally want to learn more on how to make your relationships even better we cordially invite you to attend this next 4 week series from November 2, 2008 through November 23, 2008 each Sunday evening. This information is right from God's word in the Bible and how it is applied to our daily lives in improving all areas of our relationships to one another! You will be blessed on how Pastor Skip is weaving scriptures into modern day practicality for any relationship! Please come and join us! We will be looking forward to seeing you there!
A Final Chance To Help Operation Christmas Child A Mid-November collection day and time will be set for anyone interested in supporting this worthy cause! We are asking that you provide your personal check for $7.00 and a shoe box filled full of items that you feel a deserving child would want to receive this Christmas! Don't wait until the last minute to gather your shoe box and items. Do it now... the Holidays are fast approaching! There are more detailed information located on the table in our church foyer or ask Melinda Vaughn. (We will update this information soon as to who to make your check out too and its purpose.)
Holiday Events! Starting - Saturday, December 6, 2008 Our "Single's" - This cell group is meeting and making some major changes! This awesome group of believers are opening itself up to include anyone ("Single or Not") to participate in a series on "Prayer". This series will begin on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting place of this new and exciting series will be held at Herb & Patty Lenzer's home. Directions to the Lenzer home coming soon!
Parent's Shopping Day! - December 6, 2008 can be your answer for a long a waited shopping day for you to get a way from your children as you Christmas Shop, buy groceries or have a "Date with your Mate". Anyway that you would like to plan this day, our "Youth Ministry" overseen by Michael & Shauna Davidson and all of our youth volunteers will be more than able to watch your children so that you can go out and do your thing on this day! The minimum request is a donation of $5.00 to go toward our Youth Fund!
Men's Ministry Meeting - Don't forget men....our meeting at the "Y" Restaurant at 09:00 A.M. Brother Mark Teague will be in charge of this event of instruction, ministry goals and a good time in fellowship! Be a blessing to fellow brother this day...."Offer to pick them up or buy his meal for him!"
